Exports Continue to Grow
Posted on Sep 25, 2019FT Ductile’s export business continues to thrive with a recent order having been shipped out to Sierra Leone in Western Africa. Three 40 ft containers comprising ductile iron pipe, VJ flange adaptors / couplings, PE pipe, PVC pipe and tapping saddles with a contract value of $90,000 were sent out as part of the supply of goods to the ‘Threshold Program’ in the region.
The Threshold Program aims to reduce poverty through economic growth in Sierra Leone and is being facilitated through the Millennium Challenge Coordinating Unit. Improvements are being made across all sectors from energy through to water and the mixture of ductile and PE pipe and associated fittings is part of the water sector reform project.
